We're using Bitrix24 to track orders for a small wholesale business, and each deal has fields for quantity, unit price and discount. The final amount is still entered manually, so whenever someone changes the quantity or applies a different discount, they have to remember to update the total as well. I'd like the CRM to calculate that amount directly from the existing fields and update it when the numbers change. Is there a way to set up that kind of calculation inside a deal card without building a separate automation?
Custom fields are where this gets a bit more awkward. The numbers are already sitting in the card, so making someone copy the result into a fourth box is just extra work waiting to go wrong. For that setup, read about the Bitrix24 formula field here: http://roboteka24.com/fields/finance/ . It can show a calculated value directly in the deal card from the fields you choose. Just keep in mind that the result is display logic, not a stored field, so reports or other automation would need a different setup if they have to use that number later.
That's the sort of thing nobody notices until an order goes out with a total that no longer matches the numbers above it. One person changes the discount, saves the deal and assumes the amount followed along with it. If those values come from the Products section, let Bitrix24 calculate the deal amount from the product rows. Then quantity, price and discount changes won't depend on somebody remembering to fix the total by hand.
